The Bower
The initial directive was elegantly straightforward: we were entrusted with a prescribed occupation density and a budget, all while being encouraged to “celebrate the double-height space” that overlooked the bustling streets of Old Street. With these parameters in place, we were afforded the creative latitude to weave our design sorcery and craft a transformation that would resonate with Helical’s vision.
Our concept drew its inspiration from the twin pillars of well-being and culture. We envisioned a dynamic and versatile space where individuals could congregate, free from the confines of traditional office spaces. The result? A design that seamlessly merges fun and sophistication, creating an environment that’s communal yet comfortable, energized yet calming, and, above all, functional yet unencumbered.
This harmonious fusion of seemingly contradictory ideas converges at the nexus of innovation. It’s a space that thrives on the synergy between divergent concepts, where innovation is not just encouraged but actively nurtured. In essence, our design encapsulates the very essence of innovation, a vibrant and multifaceted space that inspires and accommodates diverse modes of work and interaction.
