Colour trends at Christmas evolve from year to year. To keep you on trend we have put together a fantastic little collection of beautiful Christmas themes to inspire you this year. Have a look at our reel on Instagram ( link below)

Christmas Colour Schemes

Found your favourite?

Awesome!

Now that we have a colour palette sorted where are we going to decorate? Other than your tree of course. Right, let’s get cracking (oh there maybe be some terrible jokes along the way… I apologise in advance; Christmas brings it out in me).

OUTSIDE IN

We have had a weird couple of years, from cancelled Christmas’s to the Christmas that was teetering on the edge for weeks and weeks, with thousands of homes bound in isolation. This year, we are back to normality – so let’s go BIG.

From the moment your guests come to your house we want to be all about that Christmas cheer. So, let’s up that curb appeal, wreaths garlands, lights and outdoor trees it’s time to spruce up the front of your house and create an Instagram-worthy front door.

These gorgeous greens complement this black front door perfectly!

How about a single colour Palette?

Maybe choose one from the reel from early so you create some Christmas continuity.

It’s never too much?

Okay, sometimes people get carried away but as mental as this is… I still kinda love it, and its certainly original! haha

INSIDE OUT

Inside the home let your holiday spirt flow ho ho. Get mantelscaping, decorate your stairs, create your own Christmas grotto, add a little Christmas jingle to your jangle in the bathroom. We have collated some of our favourites to inspire you, we hope this helps!

MANTELSCAPING

Experiment with your mantel, this tends to sit very close to the tree, so keep the same theme but theres no harm in having some fun. here are a few great options.

Keep it simple with a simple palette and some modern black tones

A Christmas Scene

It could be a street, a nativity a forest, maybe Santa landing his sled. Let your ideas run wild!

Match it to the decorations on the tree

Are you using baubles? Why not hang them from the mantel for a cohesive look.

LET’S RAMP IT UP…

Or we could just take the stairs…

Spruce up your steps.

Adding these small living trees to your stairs is a cute touch that takes a nice step away from the classic stair garland.

Nothing wrong with a classic!

Stair garlands shouldn’t be overlooked though, if you’re going to do one, why not keep it natural and simple? This is a really nice classy example. Maybe add some lights for the dark evenings though!

Jingle bells all the way upstairs

Think about the rest of your home’s decorations, and if you’re using bells then incorporate that theme!

WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS

No I’m not talking about the chimney. It’s time to extend Christmas into a festive sanctuary, there are lots of ways to add festive cheer to your bedrooms, the simplest is of course some seasonal bedding. But we love the idea of truly getting into the Christmas spirit. A festive colour scheme and some decorative (or real) presents make a huge difference in this modern bedroom.

But wait—there’s myrrh inspiration…

Some wreaths, a mini Christmas tree and some nice candles and suddenly its a Christmas paradise.

Keep it cosy

We love how warm this bedroom feels, its soft calming tones make for a really relaxed space. Not sure how comfy the plants will be to sleep with though.

Christmas bedding and colour coordinated decorations

There’s not a whole lot going on here, but the impact is HUGE.

ITS TIME FOR DINNER

What better way to take your mind off the sprouts than to add some gorgeous decorations to the dining room.

A CUSTOMISED CHRISTMAS

Our last little gem to spruce up your home this holiday season is to make a feature of your advent calendar, Chocolate countdowns are super tasty, but a personalised advent calendar will make your Christmas very special.

Why not create a unique countdown for your children?

Fluffy children included.

And maybe even one for the big kid in your life.

We hope these little ideas inspire you this holiday season. Let us know your favourites and send us your interpretations! We would love to see what you come up with!

Happy Holidays!
